Main contractor McLaren completed a new 87,000 sqm national distribution centre for developer Gazeley at Magna Park Milton Keynes. Occupied by Waitrose, the building represents one of the larger distribution centres in the UK, constructed by McLaren in a record 32 week programme. Concast are proud to have been part of such a major programme achievement where we supplied and erected; 70 Precast dock levellers; insulated sandwich panel surrounds to dock bays; retaining and service yard walls; lift shafts and stairs. Needless to say it was a whirlwind erection sequence completed on time using our own Concast cranage and experienced erection crews. Gazeley subsequently awarded McLaren a further two distribution centres at Magna Park. McLaren, staying with a winning formula, again instructed Concast to provide the Precast packages which included; a total of 93 Precast dock levellers; insulated dock surround wall panels; retaining and service yard walls; lift shafts and stairs.
