Huntingdon District Council instructed main contractor Graham to design and build a 406 space multi-storey car park (MSCP) within the grounds of existing surface car parking and town centre shopping. As the existing access to the supermarket surface car park and an adjoining petrol station had to be maintained throughout construction, Graham choose a Precast solution in order to reduce their on-site installation programme while ensuring their client’s high expectations on quality were also achieved. Concast designed and provided the Precast frame solution for the MSCP which incorporates an external curved ramp for access between floor levels which Concast constructed utilising bespoke triangular structural ramp slabs.
